Activate Theme License Key

After installing theme and activating it in WordPress Admin Dashboard, you will see MayorCity navigation menu in the left side of admin panel.

Follow the steps below to activate the license key for the MayorCity theme:

1. Click on navigation menu Mayorcity on the left side of WordPress Dashboard
2. Proceed to Activate Theme Page, enter your license key received by email submitted after purchasing the theme. (If you didn’t get it please contact us)
3. Click Activate License Key button

Right after you will receive the notice that your theme successfully activated and it’s ready to go.

Installing theme via Upload Method

Installing the WordPress theme is pretty easy. You can install the MayorCity theme on your WordPress site basically by using Upload Method. The upload method is suitable if you want to install the already have downloaded the MayorCity theme. In this method you will need to upload the theme from your local computer to the WordPress Dashboard.

Follow the steps below to install the the MayorCity theme:

1. Download our theme mayorcity.zip file you bought in the theme marketplace or commercial provider.
2. Log in to your WordPress account.
3. Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
   • On the menu on the left side of the dashboard, hover your mouse over Appearance, and select Themes within that option box:
     
4. On the themes page, select Add New at the top of the page.

5. After clicking on the Add New button, select the Upload Theme button.
   • 
6. Upload and install the file.
   • After selecting Upload Theme, click Choose File or Browse .
     
   • Select the theme mayorcity.zip folder you’ve downloaded, then click Install Now.
     

Forgot or lost theme License Key

If you forgot or lost your license key, there are two ways to get the license key of the theme:

1. Check your email carefully (SPAM folder as well). We send email with the license key right after purchase automatically.
2. If it didn’t work please proceed to https://herocode.pro/ account page and use “Forgot password” option. Log into the account and take your license key there.
3. If you forgot your email please contact us with the details of your purchase (Date/chosen plan)

Import Demo Content

If you are an amateur WordPress CMS user we highly recommend you to install the Demo Content. It will will give you a basic content setup similar to our demo website.

Location: Dashboard > Mayorcity > Import Demo

Click on Import Demo button and wait until it upload the content. After successful import of the demo content you will see the following:

Installing theme via WordPress Dashboard

As of today we have not placed the MayorCity theme into WordPress Themes Repository yet. Our theme is intended to be used in commercial purposes only, therefore, we do not have free version of the MayorCity theme.

Activation of theme

After clicking Install, a message will appear that the theme installation was successful. Click Activate to make the theme live on your website.

In case if you missed activating the theme, you can activate it manually with the following steps:

1. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress Dashboard.
2. Hover over the MayorCity theme thumbnail and click on the Activate button.
3. The theme is activated sucessfully.

Required plugins

After activation of the MayorCity theme, it is necessary to install and activate MayorCity theme’s required Plugins.
